Tony Macaulay recently enjoyed a brilliant evening meeting students from Hunan University in China who are reading Breadboy during their English-language study visit to Queen’s University Belfast.
The students discussed the novel and its portrayal of growing up in Belfast, giving Tony an opportunity to hear their responses and answer questions about the story and its setting.
This is the third year that students visiting Belfast from China have studied Tony’s books—an exciting connection between readers from two very different parts of the world.
